Students of the Kellogg-WHU EMBA Class of 2010 saw the need for a scholarship fund to assist future EMBA students. They were particularly inspired by the Kellogg and WHU traditions to give back to the community, a well-established legacy at other international partner campuses. Their goal was to contribute to their community and foster leadership within future EMBA generations.
The Schumpeter Leadership Scholarship
From this initiative The Schumpeter Leadership Scholarship was born. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to high potential leaders within the nonprofit, non-governmental, and governmental sectors.
These sectors have been underrepresented within the top Executive MBA Programs. Very few nonprofit organizations/governmental agencies can afford to sponsor their employees, and very few of those highly qualified candidates can afford to pay for a top EMBA program. The goal of this initiative is to encourage recipients of this scholarship to further increase and broaden the awareness of their sector to classmates, strengthening the learning experience while promoting sustainable business solutions.
